CENTREPEACE at the European Researchers’ Night in Brno: How to Recognize Real Wealth in a Flood of Information
On September 26, 2025, the CENTREPEACE project took part in the European Researchers’ Night in Brno. Under this year’s theme “Wealth,” CENTREPEACE invited visitors to explore how to recognize real wealth in a flood of information through an interactive activity using artificial intelligence.

On September 26, 2025, CENTREPEACE participated in the European Researchers’ Night in Brno — an event that connects science and the public through engaging activities and demonstrations. This year’s theme, “Wealth,” was interpreted not only as material prosperity, but also as the richness of knowledge, truth, and understanding.
For this occasion, the CENTREPEACE team prepared an interactive booth titled “How to Recognize Real Wealth in a Flood of Information.” The booth focused on teaching visitors how to think critically about the information they encounter online and how to distinguish between genuine and generated content.
The activity was based on large language models (LLMs) that generated various social media posts — some authentic, others created by artificial intelligence. Participants were asked to decide whether each post was real or AI-generated, putting their analytical skills to the test.
The CENTREPEACE booth was organised in collaboration with Fakescape, a Czech non-profit organisation focused on education in media literacy, cybersecurity, and critical thinking. This cooperation created a powerful and educational synergy, helping visitors understand how disinformation spreads and how to protect themselves from it.
The European Researchers’ Night in Brno once again showed how relevant social sciences and humanities are for understanding today’s world — demonstrating that the ability to think critically and verify information is one of the most valuable forms of wealth in the digital age.
