On February 24, 2025, CENTREPEACE hosted an RMA Breakfast as part of its ERC Series, titled ERC Thoughts, with a special focus on ERC Consolidator Grants. The European Research Council (ERC) grants are among the most prestigious funding opportunities for researchers pursuing ambitious, high-risk, and innovative ideas that push the boundaries of knowledge in their respective fields.
The event featured Professor David Kosař from the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University, a successful principal investigator of both an ERC Starting Grant and an ERC Consolidator Grant. Drawing from his firsthand experience, he shared insights into his grant-writing and implemention journey—how he prepared for the Starting and Consolidator Grants, what he would approach differently in hindsight, and practical advice for future applicants.
This session underscored the power of knowledge exchange. By sharing experiences and best practices, researchers can enhance their chances of success in ERC grant proposals and contribute to the advancement of high-quality research.
